In Stillness Moves we recognize the ongoing process of health, the capacity of our being to regenerate itself. Sensing this regenerating power we align our movement with it. Specific patterns and systems of movement are good starting points but they cannot fully align with our own natural movement. In Stillness Moves' explorations we apply universal movement principles to discover our individual and unique expression of health.
In Stillness Moves we observe the continuous play of stillness and moving out of it into experience. By becoming consciously aware of this play we can act, move and stay in contact with the place of stillness to bring balance to all aspects of our life. Extremes are part of life's experience and they are balanced by having the capacity to find our way back home. This home is where we experience comfort and ease as the natural state of being.
Our core strength is found in our hearts. In Stillness Moves this limitless core is the source and the guidance to develop strength in our body and movement. When strength is about holding a certain position or moving in specific patterns we limit the possibility for growth and adaptability to change, we disconnect from our core.
In Stillness Moves we increase flexibility so we can adapt better and have new choices, it is not compensating and shifting into equally limiting conditions. It feels comfortable, natural and functional. Through flexibility that we gain by acceptance we find ways to bring about the most radical changes in our bodies & lives.
In Stillness Moves alignment of the physical body supports the integration of the whole spectrum of our being. When our whole being aligns with our action and intention there is no resistance that has to be overcome by force. Such a state is attained gradually and the use of force will only create more fragmentation.
Our freedom lies in the stillness within. The discipline of continuously unwinding our mind and body conditioning brings our being into its natural state, we then become conscious of this freedom and act accordingly.
